The EMAG PTS Precise Electro-Chemical Machining (PECM) system is perfect for the production of difficult to machine parts, with demanding part geometries. The PTS system makes it easy to machine complex components on difficult to machine materials. With its contact-free machining method, even very rigid alloys can be processed with almost no tear, allowing the very high quality surface finishes without burr formations or changes to the materials micro-structure.
The EMAG CI 400 machine makes the contact-free machining of complex shapes possible, eliminating the thermal and mechanical effects on the part. Not only does this improve overall component quality, but also eliminates wear on the cathode. With the ability to achieve surface finishes of Rz 0.2/Ra 0.05 (depending on the material), this will allow you to achieve high precision cost-effectively.

The CS stand-alone machine forms the basis of a modular automation concept. The ECM process reduces investment costs as it only becomes necessary to invest in interlinking of several processes (e.g. pre-washing, ECM station 1, ECM station 2, follow-up treatment) once production increases.
